About The Stand

The Stand is a compelling, three part series that takes an in-depth look at the New Testament Book of Hebrews.  We will look at the original audience, a group of Jewish Christians, who were being oppressed and pushed to return to their old way of life.  In much the same way, the world tries to convince Christians today to turn away from the Way of Christ and follow the broken ways of the world.  Just like these first century Christians, we must take a stand for Christ today.

The Book of Hebrews will reveal Truth that was essential for this original audience to stand for Christ and this Truth is also essential for us today.  True Christ-followers are the minority in our culture and everyday believers are persuaded to return to the world’s way of life.  Seeing God’s great plan from the very beginning of time will expand the picture we have of His love and allow us a greater understanding in our faith.

At New Vision Baptist Church we are taking this study to new levels.  Brady, our pastor, is speaking each week on a chapter in Hebrews and we are also taking it to our small groups.  This blog is meant to provide leaders, group participants and those that want to engage through individual study the resources to do so.
